Environmental Fun Day 2017!

The Environmental Fun Day, organized by the Wheatley River Improvement Group and the Hunter-Clyde Watershed Group, took place at the Garden of Hope in New Glasgow on Friday, June 9. Over 90 students from Central Queens, Gulf Shore Consolidated, and our local homeschool group joined us for a fun day of environmental education. There were a total of six stations for the students to rotate through, each focusing on a different aspect of the environment. We are incredibly grateful to the teachers, volunteers, and presenters for helping to make this day possible!

Brad Trivers, our local MLA, stopped by for a visit.
Luke Peters and Dwaine Oakley from Holland College taught the students about fly fishing.
