Every year, from the May long weekend until the close of the fishing season, the Wheatley River Improvement Group welcomes anglers to the historic Rackham’s Mill Pond and Wildlife Conservation Area. Brook trout are the primary catch but rainbow trout, an invasive species, is also present.
Please help WRIG protect recreational fishing in Rackham’s Pond by adhering to the following restrictions:
- Delayed opening for angling until the May long weekend
- Barbless hooks only
- Reduced catch limit of 5 brook trout
- No gas-powered boats or unloading boats off trailers in the Pond
