** 2014 WRIG FIELD CREW SUPERVISOR **
Duties: Our Field Crew Supervisor will plan and oversee day-to-day summer field project for WRIG, including remedial stream work, GIS, planting trees, water quality monitoring and riparian assessment work. The position also includes communicating with the public, writing reports, newsletter articles and helping to organize a community event.

Qualifications: Previous field crew work experience or equivalent would be an asset. Student should be enrolled in post secondary education, preferably in the area of environmental sciences, biology, forestry, conservation or wildlife management.

Applicants should be between the ages of 18 and 30, have leadership experience and can demonstrate the capacity to work independently. A vehicle for daily use would be essential to this position, and work mileage would be compensated. Preference will be given to qualified candidates from within the watershed, but it is not required.

Duration: June 30th for 8 weeks, extension dependent on funding availability.

** 2014 WRIG FIELD CREW TECHNICIAN **
Duties: Our Field Crew Technician will carry out summer field work for the Wheatley River Improvement Group, which may include remedial stream work, tree planting, trail maintenance, building nest boxes and assisting with Riparian Health Assessments. The position may also include communicating with the public and helping to organize a community event. Potential employees should enjoy working outside with nature in all conditions, and work as part of a team.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates from within the watershed, but it is not required.  Employment funding made available through initiatives that may require eligible employees to register through the PEI Employment Development Agency, or be willing to do so.

Duration: June 30th for 8 weeks, extension dependent on funding availability.
