During the 2012 summer, the field crew consisted of Beverly Brooks-Ward and Jennifer Noble. Beverly has just finished her undergraduate degree (BSc) at UPEI and Jennifer will be returning to UPEI this year to finish her bachelor’s of science in Wildlife Conservation, a combined program between UPEI and Holland College. WRIG was also lucky to have Desiree Samson volunteer for part of the summer, which helped the crew to complete their summer objectives.
- 1044 native trees were planted in the watershed.
- Stream restoration was completed along the main branch of the Wheatley River and along Chapel Creek.
- 7 brush mats were constructed.
