WRIG board members, staff, and community members spent the afternoon working to prepare Rackham’s Pond for the summer season and the Environmental Fun Day. The grass was mowed, trash was picked up, trees were pruned, and the picnic table in the river was rescued. Thanks to everyone who volunteered their time to keep this place beautiful!
The native PEI Acadian Forest tree and shrub species that the WRIG field crew will be planting this summer arrive today!
Brittany MacLean will be returning for the third summer as WRIG’s Field Crew Supervisor. Brittany’s experience and knowledge are incredibly valuable and we are thankful to have her with us this year. She will spend time making a work plan for the 2016 field crew before they begin work in July.
