The 2024 River Duck Race held on August 24th was a great success! We sold 360 duck tickets… a new record!! A big thank you to everyone who bought tickets in advance and who came out on Saturday to support WRIG. The field crew, WRIG directors and volunteers did an incredible job of greeting guests, selling tickets, setting up the route, sending the ducks down river, scooping them up at the finish line, and collecting them all afterwards. A special thank you to director Peter McDougall for providing the soundtrack (bag pipes) for the ducks and to last year’s first place winner Gabriel Gallant-Loo for dumping the ducks off the footbridge!
