The 2025 River Duck Race held on August 23rd was a great success! We sold 390 duck tickets… a new record!! A big thank you to everyone who bought tickets in advance and who came out on Saturday to support WRIG. The field crew, WRIG directors and volunteers did an incredible job of greeting guests, selling tickets, setting up the route, sending the ducks down river, scooping them up at the finish line, and collecting them all afterwards. A special thank you to community member Andrea Dowling for providing the soundtrack (bag pipes) for the ducks and to last year’s first place winner Phyllis Arsenault for dumping the ducks off the footbridge!
